The connector is front mounted in a standard D-shape panel cut-out and features IDC termination for secure and reliable connection of both solid and stranded conductors. Its proven latch lock mechanism protects against accidental disconnection while building on the well-established etherCON locking system.The shielded design helps minimise electromagnetic interference, ensuring reliable signal transmission in electrically demanding environments. The connector complies with CAT6A / Class EA channel specifications according to ISO/IEC 11801 and TIA/EIA 568C, making it suitable for high-speed Ethernet installations. It also supports PoE type 3 class 6 up to 60 W in accordance with IEEE 802.3bt, allowing both power and data to be delivered through a single network cable. Durable construction for professional applications:The housing is manufactured from nickel-plated diecast zinc, providing excellent mechanical strength and long service life. Gold-plated contacts ensure reliable electrical performance through more than 1000 mating cycles. The connector accepts both solid and stranded conductors from AWG 26 to AWG 22 and supports cable insulation diameters from 0.85 to 1.6 mm.Please note that the NE8FDX-Y6 is not compatible with the NE8MC6-MO CAT6 cable connector or NKE6S series cables. However, it is fully compatible with the existing etherCON CAT5 product range, making it suitable for upgrades and expansions of existing installations.
