For a standard connection of passive full-range speakers, a normal 2-core Speakon cable is used, available in different cable thicknesses, depending on the speaker's power demand, one cable per speaker.

Speakon cables can also be used as multi-cables, e.g. by connecting the bottom and top speaker boxes with 4- or 8-core Speakon connectors for a simple solution for connecting multiple speakers each with their own amplifier channel using one speaker connector directly from the amplifier rack to the speaker tower.
