NOTE: The SDI video standard has been more or less phased out in favor of digital storage, Displayport, and HDMI. Therefore, the selection of SDI video cables, connectors, and adapters is unfortunately quite limited.

Serial Digital Interface (SDI) is a digital video standard for professional equipment and installations. For connections, BNC connectors are most frequently used, and the cable type must be 75 ohm, like normal digital cables. One of the major advantages of SDI is that it is possible to make long cable routes without loss of quality.
