With four RJ45 inputs and four RJ45 outputs, it can serve as a central solution for devices such as streamers, network bridges, digital processors and audio servers.Electrical interference travelling through a network connection can affect timing during subsequent digital conversion. The LAN iPurifier Pro 4 addresses this with optical galvanic isolation combined with active signal regeneration. The purpose is to reduce transmitted electrical noise and timing jitter, allowing connected AV devices to receive a cleaner and precisely reconstructed data stream. Electrical connection replaced by an optical barrier:Instead of relying solely on transformer-based isolation, the LAN iPurifier Pro 4 converts the incoming electrical network signal into light. The data is transmitted across an optical barrier and then converted back into an electrical signal on the output side. This removes the direct electrical signal path between input and output.The galvanic isolation is designed to block common-mode noise, stray voltages and interference caused by parasitic capacitance. This is particularly relevant in complex AV installations where multiple devices, power supplies and network connections can create several potential paths for electrical interference. Ethernet data can be transmitted at 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps, allowing the unit to support standard Gigabit Ethernet connections. Active regeneration of the data stream:After optical isolation, the digital data stream is reconstructed using active electronics. SilentPower describes the process as bit-perfect reconstruction, where the signal is rebuilt after the isolation stage rather than simply being passed through passively. The combination of galvanic isolation and signal regeneration is designed to reduce interference and jitter before the Ethernet signal is passed on to the connected devices.The LAN iPurifier Pro 4 uses RJ45 Ethernet for both inputs and outputs and supports IEEE 802.3x. Its compact enclosure measures 21.4 x 13.3 x 4.1 cm. The unit is also compatible with the SilentPower OMNI RACK Mount kit, allowing integration into a 1U rack in professional and advanced AV installations.
