Stranded network cables are primarily used for connection between fixed network installation points (wall outlet/box) for connection of network equipment (computer, printer, etc.), which are known as completely ordinary network patch cables and are available in a variaty of types and color variants.

Solid core/conductor network installation cables are used for cable routing in walls and usually ends in a network wall socket/outlet.

When complicated or long cable runs are to be made, it is rarely an advantage to install connectors when pulling the cable, but instead to crimp on after installation.
