Bruger denne ved kalibrering af surroundreceiver, der ikke har HDMI interface, men composite video udgang, for visning af kalibreringsmenu etc. Kalibrering tager 10-15 minutter. Desværre ophører denne konverter med at virke efter få minutter i 9 ud af 10 forsøg, så kalibrerings processen skal genstartes, efter power reset af konverteren. Den er enten defekt eller blot endnu et dårligt kinaprodukt. Samtidig er composite video-hunstikket ikke i stand til, at give en pålidelig forbindelse til det medkøbte composite videokabels stik.
