Further improvements include a specially designed Zn/Mn ferrite jacket which eliminates minute timing errors, as well as the use of QED's unique 'Tri-Conductor' technology. This technology reduces the signal to ground capacitance to almost non-existent levels. In collaboration with the renowned supplier of professional audio connections, Neutrik (UK), Reference XLR 40 offers cables with exceptional build quality and reliability. Neutrik XX-14 Nickel series XLR gold connectors are used as standard, ensuring robustness and reliability demanded by audio professionals worldwide. These cables exhibit noticeable sound improvements thanks to their silver-plated conductors and LDPE dielectrics. The QED Reference Analog XLR 40 is especially recommended for professional or audiophile use and can easily find its place in a high-quality system.

Good XLR cable at a reasonable price. My previous experience with XLR cables showed to me that cheap XLR cables can be very poor and can colour the sound badly. But these higher priced XLR cables from QED are fairly priced and sound good. I don´t think there would be much to be gained by spending a lot more.
