MicroConnect Premium USB3.1CCOM18 is a compact USB-C mini dock that combines display connectivity, USB ports, a card reader and power delivery in one solution. The two HDMI outputs allow you to connect up to two external displays. With a single HDMI display, the dock can deliver up to 3840 x 2160 pixels at 30 Hz, while simultaneous use of both HDMI outputs supports 1080p on both displays.

The dock is designed for USB-C devices and can be used with compatible MacBook, MacBook Pro, Lenovo YOGA and Chromebook Pixel models, among others. The integrated USB-C cable provides a direct connection to the computer, making the dock a practical connection point for displays and USB devices. Plug and Play support also makes setup straightforward on compatible systems.

MST for Windows and display mirroring on macOS:

When working with multiple displays, operating system support is important. On Windows, the USB3.1CCOM18 supports MST, Multi-Stream Transport, allowing connected displays to be used for an extended desktop or for mirroring. This makes it possible to distribute the workspace across multiple displays when supported by the computer and the rest of the setup.

Display handling works differently on macOS. Here, the dock supports SST and display mirroring, meaning the external displays show the same content rather than operating as two separate extended desktops. This distinction is important when choosing a USB-C dock for a dual HDMI display setup, as MST functionality on this model is limited to Windows.

USB, card reader and up to 100 W Power Delivery:

In addition to HDMI, the mini dock provides a total of four USB ports, consisting of 2 x USB-A and 2 x USB-C. The USB connections support data transfer speeds up to 5 Gbit/s, allowing compatible USB devices to be connected directly through the dock. One of the USB-C ports is specified as a dedicated data port, while the Power Delivery function handles pass-through charging.

USB Power Delivery 3.0 supports up to 100 W, allowing a compatible USB-C power supply to be connected through the dock to deliver power to the connected computer.
