The mini DisplayPort connector features an additional locking latch that engages with the special cutout above the port on compatible slot brackets. This helps prevent the adapter from being pulled out accidentally.The locking mechanism requires the mini DisplayPort port bracket to have the corresponding cutout. The adapter has a mini DisplayPort male connector at one end and a DisplayPort female connector at the other, allowing a standard DisplayPort cable to be connected directly. The total cable length including connectors is approximately 15 cm. DisplayPort 1.4 for high resolutions:The adapter complies with the DisplayPort 1.4 specification and supports data transfer rates of up to 32.4 Gb/s. With a display and system that support DSC, the video signal can be transmitted at resolutions up to 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz. Without DSC, the specified maximum resolution is 7680 x 4320 at 30 Hz. The actual resolution therefore depends on both the system and the connected equipment.Both audio and video can be transmitted through the connection, and the adapter supports HDR as well as HDCP 1.4 and 2.2. The DisplayPort 1.4 connection is also backward compatible with DisplayPort 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1, allowing the adapter to be used with equipment based on several generations of DisplayPort.
