Gigabit switch with PoE+ for data and power:

The D-Link DGS-1018P is an unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet switch with 16 RJ45 ports for both network connectivity and PoE power. All 16 ports support IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at PoE+, allowing compatible network devices to receive data and power through the same Ethernet cable. Each PoE port can deliver up to 30 W, while the switch has a total PoE budget of 240 W.

The unmanaged design makes the switch suitable for installations where a straightforward network solution without conventional software-based management is required. Gigabit Ethernet on all RJ45 ports provides 10/100/1000 Mbit/s connectivity, while QoS helps prioritize time-sensitive network traffic. IEEE 802.3x flow control is also supported to help reduce the risk of packet loss under high network loads.

Two SFP ports provide flexible uplink options:

In addition to the 16 Gigabit Ethernet ports, the DGS-1018P features two 100/1000 Mbit/s SFP ports. These can be used with compatible SFP transceivers, providing fiber connections to other parts of the network. This makes the switch flexible for installations where the uplink connection needs to extend beyond the typical distance limitations of copper-based Ethernet.

The switch has a total switching capacity of 36 Gbit/s and a maximum forwarding rate of 26.78 Mpps. Large data packets are supported through jumbo frames of up to 9216 bytes, while a 4.1 MB packet buffer helps manage network traffic. Data is forwarded using the store-and-forward method, where the switch receives and checks Ethernet frames before forwarding them to their destination.

Ready for fixed network installations:

The DGS-1018P features an internal power supply with a 100-240 V AC input at 50/60 Hz. LED indicators provide a quick way to check power, link, activity, speed and PoE status directly on the switch, making everyday monitoring of connections and powered ports more convenient.

The enclosure measures 4.4 x 21 x 44.1 cm (H x W x L) according to D-Link's official data sheet. The operating temperature range is 0 to 50 °C, while supported relative humidity during operation is 10-95% non-condensing. With 16 PoE+ Gigabit ports, two SFP uplinks and a 240 W PoE budget, the switch combines network distribution and power delivery in a single unit.
