Gigabit switch with 130 W PoE budget:

The D-Link DGS-1210-10MP is a Smart Managed Gigabit PoE+ switch with eight 10/100/1000BASE-T ports and two SFP ports. The eight RJ45 ports support IEEE 802.3af/at PoE, allowing compatible network devices to receive both data connectivity and power through the Ethernet cable. With a total PoE budget of 130 W and up to 30 W available on each PoE+ port, the switch is suitable for installations where multiple PoE devices need to share the same network infrastructure.

The two 100/1000 Mbps SFP ports provide support for fibre-based uplinks. This makes it possible to connect the switch to other parts of the network using compatible SFP transceivers when a fibre connection is required.

Smart network management and segmentation:

The DGS-1210-10MP provides more management and Layer 2 functionality than a standard unmanaged switch. It can be managed through a web-based interface and supports features including VLAN, 802.3ad Link Aggregation, port mirroring, IEEE 802.3x Flow Control, Spanning Tree and IGMP Snooping. Up to 256 VLANs can be configured, allowing different types of network traffic to be logically separated.

Voice VLAN and Auto Surveillance VLAN make it possible to handle voice and surveillance traffic in separate VLAN segments. The switch also includes QoS, broadcast storm control, loop protection and static routing. With L2+ static routing, traffic can be routed between VLAN-separated network segments without sending all of this traffic through a separate router.

Efficient network traffic handling:

The switching capacity is 20 Gbit/s, while the maximum packet forwarding rate is 14.88 Mpps. The MAC address table supports 8,000 entries, and jumbo frames of up to 10,000 bytes are supported. Auto-negotiation and Auto MDI/MDIX simplify connections on the copper ports, while IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet can reduce power consumption when network conditions allow.

The DGS-1210-10MP features a fanless design with a specified noise level of 0 dB, eliminating the need for a mechanical fan inside the switch. The enclosure measures 4.4 x 18 x 33 cm (H x W x L), and the switch can be used as a desktop unit or installed in a 19" rack with suitable mounting brackets.
