Stable HDMI detection with EDID emulation:

The HDMI EDID emulator acts as a compact monitor emulator that enables the connected computer or other HDMI source to detect an active display. The adapter signals a permanent display connection with support for up to 4K at 60 Hz. This can be useful in installations where a display is frequently switched on, off or changed, and where the HDMI connection might otherwise lose the correct display detection or resolution.

The EDID adapter can be used with computers, laptops, media players and KVM switches. It is also suitable for presentation displays and digital information systems where a stable HDMI handshake is important for daily operation. The adapter connects directly to an HDMI port and requires no separate driver.

Virtual display for headless PCs and remote access:

In a headless system, the HDMI dummy plug can make the graphics card and operating system detect a display even when no physical monitor is connected. This makes it suitable for computers managed via VNC or remote desktop, where a detected display may be required to maintain the desired display configuration. The emulator can also prevent the computer from entering standby mode due to prolonged inactivity.

The adapter can also be used as a virtual monitor. The operating system detects the simulated 4K display, allowing a higher virtual resolution to be used than the resolution of the physical display. This can, for example, be used when recording video in 4K. Plug & Play support makes installation straightforward on HDMI-equipped computers running Windows, macOS or Linux.

Compact aluminium construction:

With an HDMI Type A male connector, the EDID emulator plugs directly into the HDMI output without requiring an additional cable. The housing is made of aluminium and measures just 0.9 x 1.98 x 1.8 cm (H x W x L), taking up minimal space when connected to computers, media players and other HDMI equipment. It weighs 7 g.

The compact design makes the adapter practical for fixed installations, where it can remain connected to the HDMI port and continuously simulate an attached display. This provides a simple solution for setups where display detection, EDID information and a fixed 4K resolution at 60 Hz need to be maintained.
