Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth in one compact USB adapter:

The D-Link AX9U upgrades a compatible PC or laptop with both Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 via a USB port. The adapter supports Wi-Fi 6, also known as 802.11ax, and delivers an AX900-class connection with speeds up to 574 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and up to 287 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band. The two frequency bands provide flexible connectivity, allowing the connection to use either 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz depending on the available wireless network.

Wi-Fi 6 includes OFDMA technology, which is designed for more efficient data transmission on wireless networks. The AX9U also supports older Wi-Fi standards ranging from 802.11a/b/g and Wi-Fi 4 to Wi-Fi 5, making the adapter suitable for use with existing Wi-Fi routers and access points.

Bluetooth 5.3 without an additional adapter:

In addition to WLAN connectivity, the AX9U features integrated Bluetooth 5.3. This allows the same USB adapter to connect compatible Bluetooth devices such as headphones, keyboards and controllers without requiring a separate Bluetooth adapter.

The wireless connection supports WPA2 and WPA3, allowing the adapter to use modern security standards on compatible networks. WPA3 is the newer generation of Wi-Fi security and provides access to the enhanced protection supported by newer routers and access points.

Simple installation on Windows:

The AX9U connects via USB 2.0 and is designed for Windows 10 and Windows 11 in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. D-Link has stored the Windows driver on the adapter, allowing installation to start directly after connection without having to download the driver separately first.

The compact housing measures just 0.97 x 1.77 x 3.87 cm (H x W x L), with the antenna located internally. This allows the adapter to take up minimal space around the computer's USB port while providing a simple upgrade for wireless networking and Bluetooth on a compatible desktop or laptop computer.
