It features two dedicated DC outputs: 15V for compatible Pro-Ject turntables and 18V for Pro-Ject Phono Box models requiring an 18V power supply. This allows the separate original power supplies to be replaced by one central solution.The power supply is located outside the connected audio components, while DC filtering, linear voltage regulation and Low ESR capacitors contribute to a stable, low-noise power supply. The design focuses on reducing potential electrical noise and interference that could affect the sensitive signal in a phono setup. Compact solution with fewer power supplies:Power Box S3 Phono also makes the installation more organised. The turntable and phono preamp receive power from the same unit, and the required 42 cm connection cables are included. The cables are labelled to help identify the correct connection for the turntable and phono stage respectively.The rigid aluminium casing protects the electronics against interference and provides a compact construction that takes up little space in a hi-fi setup. The front features a main power switch with a blue LED indicator as well as separate indicators for the connected turntable and phono stage. Power Box S3 Phono is available in black or silver. Compatibility with Pro-Ject equipment:The 15V output is designed for Pro-Ject turntables with a 15V DC input, while the 18V output can power Pro-Ject Phono Box models that use 18V. The two outputs can provide a combined maximum current of 1000 mA.Power Box S3 Phono is not suitable for the Pro-Ject X8, Xtension 9, Xtension 10, Xtension 12, RPM 9, RPM 10, Signature 10 or Signature 12. Compatibility should therefore be checked before connection, especially when the power supply is intended for use with a larger Pro-Ject turntable.
