The adapter makes it possible to connect two displays via a single DisplayPort output and is designed for setups that require additional screen space without installing an extra graphics card or using multiple separate video outputs.The hub supports a resolution of up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz on a single display. According to the manufacturer's specifications, the same resolution and refresh rate are also supported when using two displays simultaneously in MST/SST mode. This makes the adapter suitable for display setups where high 4K resolution needs to be maintained on both connected displays. MST for Windows and SST for macOS:On compatible Windows systems, MST, Multi-Stream Transport, can be used to send separate video signals to the two DisplayPort outputs. This allows the connected monitors to operate as separate displays when the computer's DisplayPort output and other hardware support the required MST functionality.On macOS, the adapter operates in SST mode. The manufacturer specifies an A+B+B configuration, where the two external displays show the same content. The A+B+C MST configuration with different images on both external displays is not supported on macOS.
