The LS-1205 Air is designed with one purpose in mind: to reproduce music exactly as the artist intended. Thanks to the unique Air Helix technology, the conductors float freely and are almost 100% insulated by air along the entire cable structure. This setup reduces both capacitance and dielectric losses, resulting in an extremely neutral sound profile. The 4-core multicore structure counters inductance, so even the smallest musical details are delivered with outstanding precision and timing. The result is a sound that is both vibrant and emotional, whether you're listening to classical music or hard rock.

Perfection in Every Detail:

To ensure maximum performance, only pure, oxygen-free copper is used in the cables, all of which undergo strict quality control prior to production. Each conductor is coated with lacquer to prevent eddy currents and oxidation. Rhodium-coated connectors made from tellurium copper provide a durable, corrosion-resistant connection, and thanks to the specially designed splitter system, the cable remains both robust and flexible in the connection area. The connectors are pressed together with a full 1.5 tons of force, without any soldering, to ensure optimal signal transmission without resistance.

The LS-1205 Air is not just a cable, but a piece of precision craftsmanship. Each unit is handmade at in-akustik’s own factory in Germany. Here, 534 individual parts are assembled with great care, including over 1584 drilled holes and 647 meters of copper wire. The cable undergoes extensive quality checks before, during and after assembly, ensuring the highest quality for every user.
