Balanced interconnect cable for uncompromising sound reproduction:

Supra Sword-IXLR Excalibur Rhodium is an exclusive analogue XLR interconnect cable developed for high-end audio systems where precise signal transmission is essential. The cable is based on the same patented design principles as Supra's acclaimed Sword Excalibur speaker cable and is engineered to preserve the original character of the audio signal with minimal interference.

The objective is simple: The signal should reach its destination without unnecessary coloration, distortion or phase shift. The advanced conductor construction is designed to provide consistent transmission across the entire frequency range, preserving even the finest details and dynamic nuances.

Sword-IXLR Excalibur Rhodium is suitable for balanced connections between CD players, DACs, preamplifiers and power amplifiers equipped with XLR connections. This makes it an excellent choice for ambitious hi-fi systems and professional audio installations where high signal quality and effective interference protection are essential.

Patented Litz construction for precise signal transmission:

At the heart of Supra Sword-IXLR Excalibur Rhodium is its advanced bifilar-wound Litz construction. Each conductor consists of 12 individually enamel-insulated copper strands arranged in two layers of six strands each. The inner layer is wound in one direction, while the outer layer is wound in the opposite direction.

This distinctive construction helps reduce conductor inductance and minimise unwanted electromagnetic interference. The design is also engineered to limit skin effect and frequency-dependent phase shifts that may affect signal transmission.

The conductors are surrounded by PP/PE insulation and protected by a common aluminium/PET foil shield providing 100% coverage. The shielding reduces the risk of electrical interference from power supplies and other electronic equipment.

The result is a carefully engineered interconnect cable where conductor geometry, insulation and shielding work together to preserve signal integrity from source to destination.

Rhodium-plated XLR connectors and Swedish precision engineering:

Supra Sword-IXLR Excalibur Rhodium features Supra Swift XLR connectors with rhodium-plated copper contacts. Rhodium is a hard and durable precious metal that provides a robust contact surface with excellent resistance to wear and corrosion. The connectors also feature a secure locking mechanism that maintains a stable connection during use.

The cable is supplied fully terminated by Supra in Sweden. The specialised Litz construction places high demands on the connection between conductors and connectors, which is why termination is performed under controlled conditions to preserve the electrical properties of the design.

The distinctive transparent ice-blue cable has an outer diameter of 8 mm and is supplied as a stereo pair with two cables. The right and left channels are identified by red and black markings respectively, while arrows on the cables indicate the recommended signal direction from source to receiving equipment.

NO-NONSENSE cables

At Jenving their focus is quality without the price going up entirely in the higher heavenly layers. All cables are based on real engineering and not voodoo, from the selection of raw materials to the actual cable construction and thereby the final sound properties.
There is, therefore, a very reasonable price/quality ratio on SUPRA cables, compared to the many exotic high-end cables on the market. Whatever the variant/price range of a Supra cable you buy, you always get quality for the money or No-nonsense as Jenving calls it.
