This is a Passive Adapter (Often does not work on new devices)
Single colored plugs (green or purple) are passive adapters. Function: A passive adapter is simply a plug that connects the wires from PS/2 directly to the USB port. It has no built-in electronics for conversion. Prerequisite: For a passive adapter to work, the connected mouse or keyboard itself must have built-in support for switching between PS/2 and USB protocols (this was common on many older devices). So it can be a problem in Windows 11/new PCs: If your PS/2 equipment is older and does not support the dual protocol, the passive adapter will not work and Windows 11 will not recognize the device. Adapter - to be used with combination keyboard and devices Connector: USB 2.0 male (type A), Mini-DIN 6 female (PS/2) ON resistance: max. 5 O Isolation resistance: min. 10 MO Material, housing: PVC 45P, PE Material, USB: iron, gold-plated pins Material, PS/2: nickel-plated iron, gold-plated pins Inner conductor, outer diameter: 0.7 mm
