Streaming, CD and vinyl in one compact system:

The Marantz MCR 60n DAB combines an amplifier, network player, CD player and MM phono preamplifier in a single compact hi-fi unit. This makes it easy to switch between digital and analogue music sources without building a system from several separate components. The amplifier delivers 2 x 65 W at 4 Ohm, while the built-in CD player supports standard CDs as well as CD-R/RW discs containing formats including MP3 and WMA.

A dedicated MM phono input lets you connect a turntable with a compatible MM cartridge without requiring a separate phono preamplifier. Other connections include an analogue input, optical digital input, rear USB-A port and headphone output. A subwoofer Pre Out also allows the speaker system to be expanded with an active subwoofer.

HEOS, AirPlay 2 and high-resolution streaming:

The integrated HEOS platform provides the MCR 60n DAB with network streaming and HEOS multi-room functionality. Multiple compatible HEOS devices can be controlled through the HEOS app and combined into a multi-room system. Supported music services include Spotify Connect, TIDAL, Deezer, Amazon Music and Pandora, although specific availability may depend on country and subscription. Internet radio is also supported.

Music can also be played wirelessly via AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth, while Roon Ready support enables integration with a compatible Roon system. Network connectivity is available through both Wi-Fi and wired Ethernet. Supported audio formats include FLAC, WAV, ALAC, DSD, MP3, WMA and AAC, with gapless playback available for FLAC, WAV and DSD. PCM playback is supported at resolutions up to 384 kHz/32-bit.

HDMI eARC connects the hi-fi system to your TV:

HDMI eARC/ARC allows the MCR 60n DAB to be used as the audio system for a compatible TV. TV audio can be sent directly to the Marantz system via HDMI, allowing the connected hi-fi speakers to be used for films, series, games and regular TV viewing. Marantz also states that the volume can be controlled using the TV's existing remote control with this type of connection.

For speakers, the unit features separate Speaker A/B terminals with individual volume control, and the system also supports bi-amping. A subwoofer can be connected to the dedicated Pre Out. The compact enclosure measures 11.1 x 28 x 30.3 cm (H x W x D), taking up considerably less space than a traditional hi-fi system consisting of several separate components.
