High End Turntable With Uncompromising Construction:

Experience true analog sound in the reference class with this advanced High End turntable, engineered with a classic subchassis design and modern technology. The stabilized subchassis rests on three conical springs, ensuring optimal isolation from vibrations and delivering calm, precise playback of your vinyl records. The two piece, machined 12 inch aluminum platter weighing 4.2 kg works together with an internally running, precision ground flat belt and an electronically controlled AC synchronous motor for maximum speed stability at 33-1/3 and 45 RPM. The external linear TPN 1600 power supply with a powerful toroidal transformer delivers 2 x 16V to ensure extremely stable operation, resulting in impressively low wow and flutter and a smooth, dynamic sound performance. Adjustable belt tension allows fine tuning, so you can achieve the best possible performance from your record collection.

Precision Tonearm And Professional Connectivity:

The J shaped 9 inch TP 160 tonearm is developed with a focus on maximum precision and tracking accuracy. The ultra precise knife edge bearing, additionally stabilized by magnets in the horizontal plane, ensures extremely accurate tracking of the grooves in your LP records. With the SME headshell connector, mounting and replacing cartridges is simple, whether you choose Moving Coil or Moving Magnet. Anti skating via spring contributes to optimal channel balance and reduced wear on both stylus and vinyl. The patented electronic lift and contactless auto stop increase usability and protect your records. With both balanced XLR outputs and classic RCA connections, you get flexible integration into any High End audio system. The balanced connection is ideal for MC cartridges and minimizes electrical noise, ensuring a clean and undisturbed analog signal path between turntable and phono preamplifier.

Brand description - Thorens

ThorensThorens is a Swiss manufacturer of high-end audio equipment and best known for its wide range of high-quality, versatile turntables. Over time, Thorens has also produced harmonics and even automatic lighters, but now it is sound equipment and primarily gramophones that are in the product portfolio.

The family firm Thorens was founded back in 1883 in St. Croix, Switzerland and started producing music boxes and watches. Later in 1903, Thorens started producing phonographs of the Edison type and in 1928 Thorens produced their first electric gramophone (engine-driven). Later in the 1950s and 1960s, Thorens made a number of audiophile recorders, which are still known today as high-end audio products and highly sought after by collectors and audio enthusiasts.

Today, Thorens makes popular record players in all price ranges and has recently won an EISA award for their critically acclaimed stylish TD 309 gramophone
