Then you have all three sub-components on the shelf, you actually end up with three equally good remote controls for the system - you can place them in strategic places in the room, so you are never far from a remote control. Or you can choose to use only a single remote control and put the two excess remote controls in a drawer and forget about them again. In its second generation, the Tangent Ampster BT has also had an input added to an IR eye, so you can place the Tangent Ampster BT II in places where you cannot normally operate with remote control.
