Classic stereo amplification with modern connectivity:

Marantz MODEL 70 is an integrated 2-channel stereo amplifier that brings traditional hi-fi sources and modern audio connections together in one system. It delivers 50 W per channel into 8 Ohm and 65 W per channel into 4 Ohm through a Class A/B amplifier design with Current Feedback topology. Marantz has optimised the signal path and reduced noise to achieve high levels of clarity, detail and transparency.

The amplifier uses Marantz HDAM-SA3 modules, a toroidal transformer and selected audio components. Source Direct allows the signal to pass through the amplifier without using the tone controls, while bass, treble and balance can be adjusted when individual sound tuning is required. A compact OLED display provides discreet visual information on the front panel.

HDMI ARC brings TV sound into the stereo system:

With HDMI ARC, MODEL 70 can be connected to a compatible TV via HDMI, allowing TV audio to play through the connected stereo system. This enables the amplifier to serve as the centre of both music and TV audio without requiring a conventional multichannel AV receiver. The HDMI connection supports ARC for audio return from the TV.

Digital music sources can be connected through optical and coaxial digital inputs, with the integrated ES Sabre DAC handling digital-to-analogue conversion. Four analogue audio inputs are available for conventional sources, while the dedicated MM phono input allows a turntable with a Moving Magnet cartridge to be connected without a separate phono preamplifier. This makes it possible to bring together a TV, turntable, CD player and other audio sources around the same stereo amplifier.

Bluetooth for music and headphones:

Wireless audio is supported via Bluetooth with aptX, aptX HD and aptX Adaptive. This provides a convenient way to send audio from compatible Bluetooth devices to the amplifier without a physical signal cable. MODEL 70 also supports Bluetooth transmission to headphones and provides Bluetooth headphone volume control.

For wired private listening, a headphone output is also provided on the amplifier. The speaker connections are complemented by pre-out and a dedicated subwoofer output, providing additional flexibility when configuring the system. Gold-plated RCA connections and metal speaker terminals complete a connectivity section designed for everything from traditional analogue hi-fi sources to TV audio and wireless Bluetooth playback.
