Each pod uses a Qualcomm QCC5181 chipset and separate, optimised circuitry for Bluetooth, digital-to-analogue conversion and amplification. This provides a solution developed specifically for IEM use rather than a conventional Bluetooth adapter.Bluetooth 5.4 is combined with a wide range of codecs. aptX Lossless supports lossless CD-quality transmission when the connected source device also supports the technology. aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, aptX, LDAC, LHDC/HWA, AAC and SBC are also supported, allowing the GO pod Max to work with a wide range of Bluetooth devices and audio formats. Touch controls on each pod provide access to music control, volume adjustment, calls and compatible voice assistants. K2HD and automatic matching for your IEMs:The GO pod Max uses JVCKENWOOD K2HD technology to process the digital audio signal. K2HD interpolates information lost during digital processing and extends digital processing to 96 kHz with the aim of restoring natural-sounding harmonic components. The technology works together with the GO pod Max's dedicated hi-fi circuitry to provide more advanced signal processing than standard Bluetooth reception alone.Matching to the connected IEM earphones takes place automatically. When the pods are placed in the charging case with the IEMs connected, the circuitry detects the impedance and selects one of four levels: 16, 32, 64 or 300 Ohm. This allows the same GO pod Max to be used with IEM models with very different electrical characteristics. Ear loops for both 0.78 mm 2-pin and MMCX connections are included, while A2DC, T2 and Pentaconn connections are supported via separately available ear loops. Charging case with UV lights and long battery life:The two pods have a 180 mAh battery and provide up to 7 hours of playback. The charging case's 1500 mAh battery extends total battery life to up to 35 hours including recharges from the case. Charging is available via USB-C or a Qi-certified wireless charger. The pods charge in under 1.5 hours, while the charging case itself takes under 2 hours.The case features aluminium and textured polymer in its construction and provides space for the IEM earphones while attached to their ear loops. Four integrated UV lights are used to sterilise the IEM earphones between uses. The pods are also IPX5-rated, providing protection against water jets. For calls, dual microphones work together with Qualcomm cVc noise suppression to focus on the user's voice.
