Bring your CD collection back to life:

Pick your favourite album, load the disc and press play. Fosi Audio Merak is a compact CD player that makes it easy to enjoy your collection again. With a built-in DAC and headphone amplifier, you can connect it to your audio system or listen directly through headphones.

A dedicated CD mechanism with precise servo control ensures stable disc reading. ESP protection helps keep the music playing when vibrations affect the player. Merak supports standard audio CDs and certain CD-R and CD-RW discs. Hybrid SACDs can be played through their CD layer.

Ready for your audio system and headphones:

Use the analogue line output to connect an amplifier or active speakers, or send the audio to an external DAC through the optical output. Merak's built-in CS43131 DAC handles conversion when you choose the analogue connection. The 12V Trigger output also lets the player control power-on for compatible equipment such as the Fosi Audio ZD3 and ZA3.

For a private listening session, simply connect your headphones to the 3.5 mm output. The TPA6120 headphone amplifier delivers 2 x 210 mW at 32 Ohm and supports headphones from 16 to 300 Ohm. The included remote control makes it easy to skip tracks and select inputs and outputs.

From CD to USB without a computer:

Merak also plays music directly from a USB flash drive. It supports formats including FLAC, WAV and MP3, making it easy to switch between physical albums and digital music files. The USB flash drive must be formatted as FAT32.

To digitise your CDs, Merak can rip the music directly to USB. Tracks are saved as uncompressed WAV files at 16-bit/44.1 kHz, with no computer required. The USB-A port is also used for firmware updates.
