Instead, the digital audio signal is processed by the GO link 2, allowing the device to handle standard music files, lossless audio and Hi-Res Audio. This makes it suitable when headphones need to be connected to a modern device via USB, or when the integrated audio output is to be replaced by a dedicated DAC.The integrated ESS Sabre DAC supports PCM up to 384 kHz as well as DSD256 and is designed for Bit-Perfect playback of DSD and DXD. The GO link 2 is also smaller and lighter than its predecessor. It weighs just 7.8 g and has an overall length of 13.7 cm, taking up minimal space alongside a mobile device or computer. S-Balanced 3.5 mm headphone output:Headphones connect via a 3.5 mm S-Balanced output. iFi's S-Balanced circuitry applies principles from balanced circuit design to a single-ended headphone output and reduces crosstalk between the left and right channels by 50%. This allows the technology to be used with conventional headphones and earphones equipped with a 3.5 mm connector.The output delivers at least 1.59 V and 79 mW at 32 Ohm, as well as at least 2.0 V and 14 mW at 300 Ohm. Output impedance is below 0.4 Ohm. The GO link 2 also features Dynamic Range Enhancement, which uses functionality within the DAC chipset to increase the distinction between quiet and powerful passages. Further optimisation of the DAC's correction reduces harmonic distortion by up to 62% compared with the original GO link. Nexis adds more adjustment options on Android:The GO link 2 is the first model in the GO link range with full compatibility with iFi Nexis. On compatible Android devices, firmware can be updated wirelessly through the app, allowing updates to be completed without first downloading firmware files to a computer.Nexis also provides access to the GO link 2's two digital filters, hybrid and linear, allowing the DAC's digital filtering to be adjusted according to user preference. iFi Nexis functions such as firmware updates, filter selection and volume limiting are additional features that, according to the manufacturer, are available exclusively on Android devices.
