Weighing just 31 g and featuring compact dimensions, it is easy to carry, while the detachable magnetic clip makes it possible to attach the device to clothing or a bag.Bluetooth 5.2 is supported along with a wide range of codecs: LDAC, LHDC/HWA, aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, aptX, AAC and SBC. This gives the GO blu Air broad compatibility with the formats supported by the connected Bluetooth device. The built-in 450 mAh lithium-polymer battery provides up to approx. 10 hours of playback, depending on factors such as volume level and the headphones being used. Separate circuitry for Bluetooth, DAC and amplification:The GO blu Air is built with individually optimised stages for Bluetooth reception, digital-to-analogue conversion and headphone amplification. The Qualcomm QCC5144 handles the Bluetooth connection, after which the signal is passed to a Cirrus Logic DAC and a twin-mono amplifier stage. The design follows a separated signal-processing approach also found in larger hi-fi systems.For headphones and earphones, both a balanced 4.4 mm output and a 3.5 mm S-Balanced output are provided. The balanced output delivers at least 262 mW/2.9 V at 32 Ohm and at least 52 mW/5.6 V at 600 Ohm. The 3.5 mm output delivers at least 165 mW/2.3 V at 32 Ohm and at least 14 mW/2.9 V at 600 Ohm. The S-Balanced circuitry is designed to reduce crosstalk and distortion, making it particularly relevant for sensitive IEMs. Analogue sound adjustment and intuitive control:XBass and XSpace allow the sound to be adjusted directly in the analogue signal domain. XBass adds extra energy to the bass range, while XSpace affects the perceived spaciousness of the soundstage. The functions can be used individually or combined. The GO blu Air also offers Standard and Minimum Phase digital filters, allowing the digital filtering to be selected according to preference.Control is centred around iFi's ChronoDial. The rotary control provides precise volume adjustment, while its push functions provide access to playback, pause and track navigation. A long press can activate the voice assistant on the connected smartphone. The built-in MEMS microphone uses Qualcomm noise and echo suppression and can be used for hands-free calls, voice chat and access to the device's voice assistant.
