What is Diablo X?
Diablo X is a DAC/amplifier that you can use both at home with your PC and in your audio system, or you can utilize its battery-powered feature to take it with you as a high-class portable sound system. Diablo X is the first DAC/amplifier to support the remarkable xMEMS headphone technology.

What is xMEMS?
xMEMS is a new headphone technology based on the Piezoelectric principle. xMEMS is described as a quantum leap for sound quality in IEM (In-Ear Monitor) headphones.

ifi Audio in Close Collaboration with xMEMS - First to Implement
xMEMS IEMs require a higher voltage than regular headphones. ifi has worked closely with xMEMs in the development of Diablo X, making them the first to implement xMEMS technology in a headphone amplifier.

Decoding in Original Format
Diablo-X can be used with your preferred IEMs/headphones, similar to the previous Diablo model. It utilizes two Burr-Brown DAC chips and a 16-core XMOS chip to process signals from USB and S/PDIF inputs. Diablo-X can handle up to PCM 768, DSD 512, 2xDXD, and offers full MQA decoding. Both PCM and DSD are kept in "bit-perfect" form without the up-and-down conversion often seen in other products.

Amplifier with 4 Watts!
Besides xMEMS, Diablo X can easily drive all types of dynamic headphones. Select the headphone type you are using, and Diablo X can deliver power up to a whopping 4,100mW via its fully balanced 4.4mm output. That's more than 4 WATTS in exceptional sound quality!
