Also see our large selection of Tabletop radios for FM, DAB+ or Internet radio, which can be used as a standalone radio with a built-in speaker, like the old well-known transtor radios.
Traditional FM radios that receive analog FM or AM radio signals.
With a DAB+ radio or adapter module, you can receive digital radio stations in high quality easily and conveniently.
With an internet radio (net radio) adapter or Hi-Fi stereo tuner, you have the opportunity to listen to your favorite music no matter where in the world you are, and to all kinds of music from all over the world. You can choose to explore what music they listen to in e.g. Brazil or Hong Kong... The possibilities are endless with an internet radio - as long as you have an internet connection to the radio, possibly via the wireless Wi-Fi network in the house.
We carry a large selection of internet radios, ranging from
internet table radios to these stationary Hi-Fi stereo radio tuners with built-in internet radio.
In addition to internet radio, many of the tuners also have built-in music streaming capabilities, e.g. via music services such as Spotify, Deezer, etc., or simply via for streaming music from your own network or NAS server.
When does the FM signal close? No final date has yet been set for FM to be switched off, and there is no indication that anything will happen until 2020 at the earliest. Although YouSee has shut down the FM band via cable TV since 2017, the signal can still be received with a normal FM antenna or FM table radio. So even if the signal is 100% certain to be switched off, it is still uncertain how long the FM radio signal will be kept alive. However, everything indicates that there are up to several good years left in FM.
Most new radios have both an FM and DAB+ tuner, so if you are looking for a new radio and are not yet ready to let go of the FM band, it is advantageous to choose a radio with both an FM and DAB+ tuner. DAB+ is the noise-free digital radio standard that, together with internet radio and network streaming, will continue after FM is switched off.
