SA Legend 60 Silverback is designed to work with your preamplifier, network player or via pre-out on your integrated amplifier. The speakers turn on when you start the music.
Note that SA legend 60 silverback is also available in a passive version called SA legend 60. It can be easily upgraded to an active version whenever you want.
The hub can be stored away. You can also do without the hub if you connect the speakers with a cable from eg. your preamplifier.
The Legend Hub has built-in Airplay for your Apple device. Chromecast for your Android device, Bluetooth for everyone and Spotify Connect for most.

Note that the built-in Chromecast is great for controlling independent music experiences through multiple speakers in multiple rooms. All you need is the Google Home app, which has an overview for you with Chromecast. Google Home is also available for Apple.
