Bring movies to life with immersive surround sound:

The Onkyo TX-NR6050 is a 7.2-channel network receiver that brings movies, music and gaming together in your home cinema. With Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, sound can move around and above your listening position, adding both height and depth to movie soundtracks. The seven amplifier channels allow for a traditional 7.2 setup or a 5.2.2 system with two height channels and up to two powered subwoofers. If you have no height speakers, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualizer and DTS Virtual:X can create a virtual sense of height through your existing speakers.

The amplifier delivers 90 W per channel at 8 Ohm, measured across the full frequency range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz with two channels driven. AccuEQ adjusts the sound to suit your room, while AccuReflex helps align phase when using upward-firing Dolby Atmos speakers. Vocal Enhancer also lets you bring dialogue forward when voices are lost in the rest of the movie soundtrack.

Sharp images and fast response for gaming:

Three of the receiver's HDMI inputs support HDMI 2.1 with bandwidth of up to 40 Gbit/s and video passthrough at 8K/60 Hz or 4K/120 Hz. This makes the TX-NR6050 a practical connection hub for compatible gaming consoles, players and displays. Support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG allows compatible HDR content to pass through to your TV with contrast, brightness and colour information preserved.

For gaming, the receiver supports VRR to counter screen tearing and uneven frame delivery, ALLM for automatic selection of low-latency mode, and QFT to reduce frame transport time. These features require support from the connected equipment. HDMI eARC on the main output also allows audio from a compatible TV to return to the receiver through the HDMI cable, including sound from the TV's streaming apps.

Music from your phone, turntable and throughout your home:

The TX-NR6050 gives you several ways to enjoy your music. Use streaming services such as Spotify, TIDAL and Deezer, listen to internet radio through TuneIn, or send music from compatible apps using AirPlay 2 and Chromecast built-in. DTS Play-Fi enables multiroom playback with compatible products. The receiver is also Works with Sonos certified and can join a Sonos system through a separate Sonos Port, sold separately.

Bluetooth works in both directions, allowing you to play music from your phone and send the receiver's audio to compatible wireless headphones. An MM phono input also lets you connect a turntable with an MM cartridge. With Zone 2, you can extend playback to another room through speaker terminals, a line output or HDMI. When using the built-in amplifiers for Zone 2, the main room can simultaneously use up to 5.2 channels. The Onkyo Controller app lets you operate the receiver from your phone.

ON-TXNR6050: Onkyo TX-NR6050 surround receiver (7.2 system)

Brand description - Onkyo

Onkyo surround receiver The first step towards pure audio at Onkyo, takes us all the way back to September 1946, when the company was founded under the name "Osaka Denki ONKYO KK" and started producing pick-ups for turntables, which cost almost an entire month's salary for a Japanese at the time.

Throughout, Onkyo has been on the notes from the very beginning. Their deep basic knowledge as well as seniority is clearly seen and heard on the products available in the market today.
