Marshall's True Stereophonic technology creates a multidirectional 360° soundstage, helping the sound retain its fullness as you move around the speaker. This makes placement less critical than with a traditional speaker, where the listening position typically has a greater impact.Inside, a 3" woofer works together with two 1.75" wide-band drivers. They are powered by a 65 W Class D amplifier for the woofer and two 31 W Class D amplifiers for the wide-band drivers. The frequency range extends from 54 to 20,000 Hz, while the maximum sound pressure level is 86 dB SPL at 1 metre. The sealed cabinet uses passive radiators. More than 40 hours of music on one charge:With more than 40 hours of playtime, Stockwell III is designed for extended listening without frequent trips to the charger. When the battery needs topping up, the speaker supports quick charging. With a 30 W USB-C PD charger, 20 minutes of charging provides up to 7 hours of playtime, while a full charge takes less than 3 hours. The USB-C connection also functions as a 5 V, 3.0 A charging output, allowing the speaker to supply power to a connected device such as a phone. The rechargeable Li-ion battery is replaceable, and Stockwell III includes battery preservation settings through the Marshall Bluetooth app. The integrated carrying strap and 1.3 kg weight make the speaker easy to take with you. Wireless and wired connectivity:Bluetooth 5.3 provides wireless connectivity with a specified range of up to 10 metres. Stockwell III supports Auracast, Bluetooth multipoint and the SBC, LC3 and MPEG-2 AAC codecs. Multipoint allows multiple Bluetooth devices to remain connected, while Auracast supports compatible Bluetooth-based broadcast functions.Wired audio is also available through the 3.5 mm AUX input. Controls are positioned directly on the speaker's top panel, where dedicated bass, treble and volume controls are joined by a power button, Bluetooth button, M-button and media jog. Dynamic Loudness adjusts the balance of the sound according to the volume level, adapting bass, treble and other details as the level changes. IP55 protection for more flexible placement:Stockwell III is IP55-rated, providing protection against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets. This gives the speaker better protection for outdoor use and locations where splashes may occur. Its compact construction measures 18 x 16.2 x 7.4 cm (H x W x D), making it easy to position and transport.Recycled materials account for 27% of the product's total weight. Marshall has also designed Stockwell III with replaceability in mind, including the battery and certain other components. A carrying strap and USB-C to USB-C charging cable are included with the speaker. Marshall Amplification was founded in London in 1962 by drummer and store owner Jim Marshall - later nicknamed The Father of Loud. The starting point for the company was in amplifiers, primarily for guitars, and the driving force came from, among other things. Pete Townshend from The Who during some of his visits to Jim's business complained his distress over the amplifiers of the time did not have the sound he was looking for.
From this lament, the characteristic Marshall "crunch" sound was born, and became fundamental to the way rock, and the musicians of this genre evolved.
Marshall is probably the most easily recognizable amplifier brand ever. There is hardly a scene where Marshall has not been represented over time, and many of rock's most iconic albums have been recorded with Marshall equipment.
In recent times, where music devices and lifestyles go hand in hand, Marshall has becode a brand of active Bluetooh speakers and headphones (under license through another manufacturer, Zound Industries). Of course, in these products one also finds hints of what the epitome of Marshall is, both in design and sound.
