The newly developed SSD ribbon tweeter with integrated horn reduces the crossover frequency to around 2.7 kHz, creating a smoother transition to the midrange driver. With a moving mass of just 0.03 grams, the tweeter responds with exceptional speed, resulting in impressive detail, precise focus and high dynamics. The horn increases efficiency, reduces floor and ceiling reflections and positions the acoustic centre closer to the midrange. The result is a natural, wide and coherent sound dispersion that brings you closer to a true live performance.FSD technology for natural vocals and powerful bass:The Premium 801 features a newly developed FSD midrange driver and four powerful FSD woofers that together deliver a strong foundation of control and precision. Symmetric voice-coil positioning reduces distortion and ensures fully linear movement, resulting in improved clarity, natural vocals and a relaxed presentation. The four woofers provide significantly increased sound pressure and depth, lifting the bass performance for music, film and live recordings. The combination of these drivers delivers a sound that is both analytically clean and emotionally engaging.Aluminium architecture and flexible installation options:The cabinet is crafted from an extruded aluminium profile pressed under more than 5,000 tons, creating an ultra-rigid and almost resonance-free structure. The advanced internal bracing, based on a wooden matrix with damping materials, further reduces internal vibrations and ensures pure, undisturbed sound. Premium 801 can be placed close to walls without acoustic drawbacks and offers multiple stand solutions, including an elegant round base, the stable LTD base plate and a discreet furniture-glider option.
