More weight behind music and movies:

The Elipson Classic Sub 12 is an active subwoofer for listeners who want a full-bodied bass foundation for their music and to feel the power of the deepest movie effects. As the largest model in the Classic Sub range, it is designed for larger living rooms and demanding home cinema systems. A 12" bass driver and a built-in 300 W Class D amplifier provide ample power at low frequencies, while the frequency response from 25 to 160 Hz accommodates both deep sub-bass and punchy impact.

The driver's fibreglass composite cone is both lightweight and rigid, allowing controlled movement when the music or movie soundtrack becomes intense. The built-in DSP boosts the level by +6 dB at 33 Hz, adding extra weight to the deep bass. Meanwhile, the cabinet's internal bracing helps limit unwanted vibrations, supporting precise bass reproduction.

Match the bass to the rest of your system:

A good bass experience depends on the subwoofer working well with your other speakers. The Classic Sub 12 therefore features an adjustable crossover from 40 to 160 Hz, allowing you to fine-tune the transition between the subwoofer and the rest of your system. This makes it particularly suitable as a complement to larger floorstanding speakers. The phase switch, with 0° and 180° settings, provides another way to adjust how the speakers work together at the listening position.

Stereo line-level inputs and outputs allow the subwoofer to be integrated into both stereo and surround systems with suitable connections. A subsonic filter at 23 Hz attenuates the very lowest frequencies, while automatic standby makes everyday use straightforward. The black bass-reflex cabinet has an understated appearance and measures 42.2 x 35.6 x 48.6 cm, including the grille and feet. Weighing 20.4 kg, this is a substantial subwoofer that needs some space, but also provides a powerful foundation for the listening experience.
