Detailed sound with intelligent adjustment:

Sonos Ace Ultra are wireless over-ear headphones designed for detailed music reproduction, effective noise control and close integration with compatible Sonos systems. Each ear cup features a custom-designed 40 mm driver, while adaptive EQ continuously compensates for acoustic changes caused by factors such as fit, glasses and hair. This allows the sound reproduction to adapt to the actual acoustic conditions around the ear.

The headphones support spatial audio and Dolby Atmos with compatible content and equipment. Lossless audio can be played wirelessly via Qualcomm aptX on a supported device or through a USB-C connection. Bluetooth codecs include SBC, AAC and aptX Adaptive Lossless. In the Sonos app, the sound can also be customised using either a 3-band or 8-band EQ to adjust bass, midrange and treble.

Adaptive noise cancellation and Aware mode:

Ten microphones handle functions including noise control, calls, Aware mode and TrueCinema. Adaptive active noise cancellation analyses the surroundings while simultaneously adjusting to changes in the fit of the headphones. This enables the system to respond to both external noise and acoustic changes around the ear cups.

When you need to stay aware of your surroundings, you can switch to Aware mode, which blends ambient sound with the content you are listening to. Voice enhancement can be used to make voices around you clearer. During phone calls, sidetone helps your own voice sound natural, even when active noise cancellation is enabled. Switching between noise cancellation and Aware mode is handled directly on the right ear cup, where the button can also be used to activate a voice assistant.

From music to a private home cinema:

Sonos Ace Ultra can work with compatible Sonos products in ways that go beyond standard Bluetooth playback. Headphone linking lets you transfer music between compatible Sonos products using the Content Key and stream music over WiFi. The feature is available in Early Access and requires a compatible Sonos speaker, WiFi and the Sonos app.

TV audio can be swapped from a compatible Sonos soundbar to the headphones, allowing home cinema sound to be heard directly through Sonos Ace Ultra. Dolby Atmos can be combined with dynamic head tracking based on Sonos Intelligent Motion Processing and Dolby Head Tracking. TrueCinema also adapts the headphones to the room and a compatible Sonos soundbar to create a more realistic virtual surround experience. The relevant features are configured through the Sonos app.

Comfort, controls and long battery life:

The adjustable ear cups and headband are combined with soft foam around the ears for comfort during extended listening sessions. Built-in sensors detect when the headphones are removed, allowing music to pause and resume automatically when they are put back on.

The Content Key on the right ear cup brings together the main playback controls. It can be used for volume, playback, pause, track navigation, calls and audio swapping with compatible Sonos products. The power/Bluetooth button on the left ear cup is used for pairing and switching between Bluetooth sources.

The built-in 1060 mAh lithium-ion battery provides up to 35 hours of listening with active noise cancellation or Aware mode enabled. Starting from 0% battery, a 3-minute quick charge can provide up to 3 hours of listening, while a full charge from 0% can take up to 3 hours. Charging is via USB-C with a compatible power adapter.
