ArtSound MDC6.2 is a compact and reliable in-ceiling speaker designed for installations where stable performance and high durability are essential. The solid construction makes the speaker suitable for both private and professional audio installations where sound quality, longevity and dependable operation are important. With its 2-way design, the speaker delivers balanced sound reproduction that works well for both background music and clear speech in small to medium sized rooms. The compact construction also makes it ideal for areas with limited installation space without compromising the listening experience.

The high sensitivity of 89 dB ensures efficient use of amplifier power, while the recommended amplifier power of 10 to 50 W provides flexibility when choosing an audio system. The result is stable and consistent sound that performs well in rooms up to approximately 40 m². MDC6.2 is part of the ArtSound MDC series, focusing on discreet in-ceiling solutions that combine reliability, compact dimensions and a sound experience that fits perfectly in both homes and professional installations.

Inside the speaker is a 5.25" woofer made from mica reinforced polypropylene. This material provides additional strength and stability while reducing distortion and ensuring consistent sound performance under varying conditions. The high frequencies are handled by a 0.5" PEI neodymium dome tweeter that ensures clear reproduction of voices and fine musical details. The combination of woofer and tweeter creates a balanced sound profile with a frequency range from 102 Hz to 20 kHz, delivering a clear and comfortable listening experience for both music and speech.

With an IP66 rating, the speaker is built to resist water, dust and wind. It is also frost resistant and approved for marine environments, making it suitable for installations where standard in-ceiling speakers may struggle with environmental exposure. This makes it ideal for areas such as bathrooms, wellness areas, terraces, roof overhangs and coastal installations.

An operating temperature range from -20 °C to 105 °C ensures reliable performance throughout the year, even in environments with significant temperature fluctuations. The cabinet is made from durable ABS, while the aluminium front adds extra protection against corrosion and wear. The compact construction with a mounting diameter of 112 mm and a low mounting depth of only 48 mm makes installation easy in ceilings with limited space.
