Flexible 60 W PA mixing amplifier:

The MONACOR PA-806DAP is a compact mono PA mixing amplifier that combines amplification, mixing and multiple audio sources in a single unit. The Class D amplifier delivers 60 W and can be used with low-impedance speaker systems at 4, 8 or 16 Ohm as well as distributed 70 V and 100 V systems. This provides flexibility when configuring different types of fixed PA and speaker installations.

The efficient Class D design is combined with fanless cooling, allowing the amplifier to operate without fan noise. Input levels and the overall output level can be adjusted from the front panel, while bass and treble controls allow the sound to be adapted to the speakers and installation. LED indicators provide information about operation, signal level, clipping and protection status.

Music via Bluetooth, DAB+, FM, USB and SD:

The integrated media player allows music playback without requiring a separate external player. MP3 files can be played from USB media or SD cards, while the integrated FM/DAB+ tuner provides access to both analogue FM radio and digital DAB+ radio. An F connector is provided for the FM/DAB+ antenna. Operation is supported by an LED display and the included infrared remote control.

Bluetooth 4.2 also enables wireless audio playback from compatible Bluetooth devices. The combination of radio, local MP3 playback and Bluetooth provides several options for selecting the programme source directly from the amplifier and reduces the need for additional playback equipment in the installation.

Microphone, line signals and priority announcements:

For speech and announcements, the PA-806DAP features a balanced XLR microphone input on channel 1. The input provides 48 V phantom power for compatible condenser microphones and can be given priority for announcements. Channels 2 and 3 use 6.3 mm jack connections and can be switched between microphone and line level, while channels 4 and 5 are RCA line inputs. This makes it possible to combine microphones and external audio sources within the same system.

The amplifier also features a dedicated TEL input and a Music-On-Hold output, also known as MOH. An external mute function can be activated via screw terminals. The speaker connections also use screw terminals, while two RCA outputs can be used to route the line signal to other audio equipment.
