Rounded design with a focus on sound:

Elipson Planet M is a compact speaker with a distinctive appearance and a carefully considered acoustic design. The spherical cabinet measures just 15 cm in diameter and helps reduce standing waves inside the speaker. Its shape therefore serves a practical purpose alongside its striking looks.

Inside the sealed cabinet is a coaxial driver comprising a 4" bass/midrange driver and a 3/4" silk dome tweeter. The drivers share the same acoustic axis, supporting a cohesive soundstage with precise placement of instruments and voices. The bass/midrange driver features a treated paper cone, while the silk dome handles the high frequencies. The result is a speaker focused on balanced, detailed reproduction in a space-saving format.

Flexible placement for stereo and home cinema:

Planet M lets you set up a stereo system or home cinema without having to make room for large speaker cabinets. It can be placed on furniture or installed using dedicated accessories for wall, ceiling and floor mounting. An accessory for integration into a suspended ceiling is also available, allowing placement to suit both the room and the installation. Mounting accessories are sold separately.

The speakers are supplied as a pair and designed for connection to an amplifier with a recommended power output of 30-80 W. The frequency response extends from 90 Hz to 22 kHz, and Elipson recommends adding a subwoofer to reproduce the lowest bass notes. This makes Planet M well suited to a compact system in which a separate subwoofer handles the deep bass.
