Its design provides considerable flexibility when positioning the display according to the room and desired viewing angle, while maintaining a very low profile when the arm is folded.When collapsed, the display mount sits just 3.81 cm from the wall. When the screen needs to be moved forward, the arm can extend to approx. 45.7 cm. This makes it possible to keep the display close to the wall or pull it forward when its position needs to be adjusted. The mount is made from steel and finished in black for a discreet appearance behind the display. Swivel and tilt for precise display positioning:The dual swing arm provides up to 180° of swivel, corresponding to 90° in either direction from the centre position. This allows the display to be turned towards different viewing positions without moving the wall mounting point itself. The actual range of movement depends on factors including the size of the display and the available clearance around the installation.The Chief TS218SU also provides up to 12° of tilt, allowing the vertical display angle to be adjusted according to the mounting height and viewing position. Minor height adjustment and levelling are available after installation, making it easier to position the display correctly without removing the entire installation. The combination of extension, swivel and tilt provides useful flexibility where a fixed display position is not sufficient. VESA mounting and integrated cable management:The mount supports VESA patterns from 100 x 100 to 400 x 400 mm, including 100 x 100, 200 x 100, 200 x 200, 300 x 200, 300 x 300, 400 x 200 and 400 x 400 mm. This provides compatibility with a wide range of displays within the specified size and load capacity. The display's VESA dimensions and weight should always be checked before installation.Integrated cable management helps route power and signal cables along the arm, allowing the cables to follow the movement of the mount while keeping the installation tidy. The TS218SU can also be used with the Chief TA502 in-wall solution, which is designed for use with models including the TS218SU. The TA502 allows the mounting mechanism to be positioned inside the wall when the wall construction and installation conditions permit.
