The open design provides a spacious and transparent soundstage where details and positioning within the stereo image can be assessed precisely. This makes the headphones well suited to work where an open soundstage and accurate reproduction across the frequency range are important.The dynamic STELLAR.45 driver was developed in Heilbronn and uses a neodymium ring magnet, copper-clad high-tech wire and a three-layer diaphragm with integrated damping. The low coil weight contributes to fast response and detailed transient reproduction. The frequency response extends from 5 to 40,000 Hz, while the nominal impedance is 48 Ohm. 48 Ohm provides flexible connectivity:The DT 900 PRO X is designed for use with a variety of playback and production devices. The 48 Ohm impedance and efficient STELLAR.45 driver make the model suitable for audio interfaces, computers, tablets and mobile devices with an appropriate headphone output. This provides flexibility when moving between different setups.The cable connects to one ear cup only and is fully detachable. The headphone connection uses a robust, locking 3-pin mini-XLR, while the other end features a gold-plated 3.5 mm stereo jack. A 6.35 mm adapter is included for equipment with a larger headphone output. Both a 1.8 metre and a 3 metre straight cable are supplied, allowing the cable length to be matched to the workspace.
