Its open construction is designed to provide spacious, dynamic and natural sound reproduction, making it easier to work with details and positioning within the soundstage. The headphones use dynamic Tesla.45 drivers and cover a wide frequency range from 5 to 40,000 Hz.The nominal impedance is 30 Ohm, while the sound pressure level is specified at 94 dB at 1 mW/500 Hz and 110 dB at 1 V/500 Hz. The combination of an open-back construction and efficient drivers makes the headphones suitable for critical studio work where resolution and spatial reproduction are important. Two ear pad sets for different tasks:Two sets of black velour ear pads are included, allowing the sound characteristics of the headphones to be adapted to different tasks. The Producing ear pads are designed with a slight bass boost, while the Mixing & Mastering ear pads are intended for a more linear sound reproduction. Both sets include matching acoustic discs.Comfort is supported by soft circumaural ear pads that surround the ears and a padded headband. The headband padding features a dedicated fontanelle recess designed to reduce pressure on the top of the head. The headband itself uses a rugged spring steel construction, providing a secure fit and the mechanical reliability required for regular studio use. Replaceable components and flexible cable connection:The DT 1990 PRO MKII is designed with replaceable components, including the headband and ear pads. The single-sided cable connects via a 3-pin mini XLR connector and can be both detached and locked securely into the headphones.Two cable types are included for flexible cable management at the workstation: a 3 metre straight PRO X cable and a PRO X coiled cable measuring 5 metres when stretched.
