Raidho is part of Dantax A/S, a Danish company with deep roots in the hi-fi industry and more than 50 years of experience in the development, production and sale of audio products. The story began in 1971 when Dantax was founded with a vision of creating quality sound for music lovers. During the early years, speaker drivers were sourced from external manufacturers and assembled in Denmark, but increasing demand quickly led to the establishment of the company's own production facilities in Pandrup. As the hi-fi market experienced strong growth throughout the 1970s, Dantax became a recognised name among audio enthusiasts, known for high quality and excellent value for money.
In 1977, Dantax acquired the world-renowned driver manufacturer Scan Speak, marking a decisive step in the company's development. At the same time, Scansonic became part of the portfolio, and the combined expertise of Dantax and Scan Speak resulted in a range of highly regarded loudspeaker models. In 1984, the company reached another important milestone when it was listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
Over the years, Dantax has also served as a distributor for several international hi-fi brands, building extensive knowledge of audio technology and market developments. In 1997, the original loudspeaker factory was sold, after which development and production continued in close cooperation with specialised partners around the world.
One of the most significant chapters in the company's history began in 2009 when Dantax acquired the Raidho project.
