UD-505-X USB DAC / Headphone Amplifier:

A fusion of TEAC's decades of audio design experience and high-end audio design philosophy in a compact enclosure the size of an A4 sheet. This class-leading dual monaural USB DAC with an integrated fully balanced headphone amplifier is designed to process stereo signals with greater purity through its dual mono structure. With an ESS Technology ES9038 Q2M DAC in each of the left and right channels, this model achieves a high signal-to-noise ratio by using each DAC in mono mode. The analog processing section, which is key to the sound quality, includes four TEAC-HCLD2 circuits, which are improved versions of the previous TEAC-HCLD. For the headphone output, in addition to two standard 6.3mm jacks, a 4.4mm 5-pin headphone jack is also available, enabling a balanced connection. Supporting high-quality wireless audio streaming via Bluetooth®, LDAC™ and Qualcomm® aptX HD™, the UD-505-X allows you to enjoy excellent sound quality wirelessly from your smartphone. Brand description - Teac

TEAC was founded in Japan in 1953 under the name Tokyo Television Acoustic Company. In 1956, an engineer named Katsuma Tani and his brother had the idea to develop an improved reel-to-reel tape recorder based on their experiences with similar products. As a result, the company was restructured and became known as Tokyo Electro-Acoustic Company, or TEAC, as it is known today.
