Antenna installations where the quality has to be perfect normally use F-connectors. F-connectors are also known from satellite dish installations and internet cable modems, where the quality of the antenna signal just has to be top notch to work.
F-connectors are characterised by being very simple connectors with minimal signal loss, as the inner conductor of the cable is used directly as a pin in the connector. F-connectors are screwed or crimped together, providing the best wear resistance and durability over time.
